Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited university.
• Current DEA license, or obtain one upon hire.
• Active veterinary state license.
• USDA accreditation, or obtain it upon hire.
• Compassionate team player with strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in general medicine and surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency veterinary care to a diverse range of cases.
• Examine patients, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Use diagnostic tools and techniques to support patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in mentoring, training, continuous learning, and professional development.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and prognoses to pet owners.
• Participate in hospital meetings and contribute to protocols and best practices.
• Uphold hospital standards for care and client satisfaction.
