About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida is seeking Emergency Veterinarians to provide emergency care for pets as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role involves caring for critically ill or injured pets, using diagnostic tools and performing life-saving procedures, and communicating compassionately with pet owners about medical conditions and treatment plans. The position offers opportunities for ongoing learning, professional growth, advanced skills training, and mentoring veterinarians through BluePearl training programs.

The Fort Myers hospital is an 18,000-square-foot emergency and multi-specialty facility with CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, two ultrasound units, endoscopy, a chemo hood, and two radiology suites. The team includes highly skilled veterinary technicians and specialists, with a boarded surgeon and internist and board-eligible neurologist and surgeon.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Florida.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, including the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care is preferred but not required.
