About The Position

Mountain Emergency Animal Center is seeking a full-time or part-time Emergency Veterinarian for its emergency veterinary hospital in Blue Ridge, Georgia. The hospital serves the surrounding mountain region and is the only dedicated emergency veterinary hospital within a two-hour radius. It provides emergency examinations, urgent care, surgery, hospitalization, intensive care, isolation capabilities, oxygen support, in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasonography.

Veterinarians are supported by an experienced DVM team, a collaborative workplace, and advanced equipment, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, Ligasure, cautery, Snyder units, and advanced anesthesia machines. The hospital also provides RACE-approved continuing education sessions and on-site sleeping quarters for rest between shifts. Experienced veterinarians are welcome, and new graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Current DEA License or ability to obtain one upon hire.
• Active Veterinary State License.
• USDA Accreditation or ability to obtain it upon hire.
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in general medicine and surgery.
