About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their team in Langhorne, PA. This role is part of BluePearl’s Greater Philadelphia Network, which includes multiple specialty and emergency hospitals focused on high-quality, compassionate patient care in a collaborative environment. The Langhorne hospital serves pets in the Philadelphia, Levittown, and Doylestown communities. The position involves excelling in a dynamic environment as an emergency veterinarian, delivering expert care to critically ill or injured pets. It also includes utilizing cutting-edge diagnostic tools, performing life-saving procedures, and contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team of specialists. Engaging with pet owners compassionately, providing clear communication on medical conditions and treatment plans, and thriving in a culture of continuous learning and professional growth are key aspects of this role. The hospital is a VECCS Level 1 Certified Facility with recent renovations, offering advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, and ultrasound, and a full in-house laboratory.

Requirements

  • DVM/VMD degree required.
  • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a rotating internship in emergency (ER) medicine and critical care (ECC) preferred but not required.
  • General Practice (GP) or Humane Animal Medicine practice experience.
