Emergency Tech - Main ED - Full Time
About The Position
The Emergency Tech assists nurses with patient care activities while taking patients’ developmental levels into consideration. The role requires strong communication, acceptance of delegated tasks, and the judgment to ask questions and report patient information as appropriate. The Emergency Tech handles patient information in accordance with confidentiality and privacy expectations and follows the safety management program to help maintain a hazard-free physical environment and reduce injury risk. The role also requires awareness of and responsiveness to the hospital’s mission. The PCA promotes a patient- and family-oriented experience and helps adapt to changing census levels and the needs of internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills.
- CPR - BLS certificate required within 2 weeks of hire.
