About The Position
The Emergency Department Technician is an unlicensed, non-certified assistive person who works in the Emergency Unit at Resurrection Medical Center. Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit, the technician assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. This is a full-time, night-shift position in Chicago, Illinois, scheduled for 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current EMT certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, if required by the state.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain it.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
