About The Position

Peterson Health is hiring a full-time Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Kerrville, Texas. The position works three 12-hour night shifts, from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Peterson Health is an independent, not-for-profit healthcare organization and a Magnet-designated hospital recognized for nursing excellence and patient-centered care. A sign-on bonus is currently offered to qualifying full-time ED RNs. The Registered Nurse assesses each patient's needs and plans care addressing spiritual, emotional, physiological, and psychosocial needs. The nurse evaluates and documents the patient's responses in the medical record. Applicants must graduate from an accredited nursing school, hold current Texas RN licensure and CPR certification, and have the knowledge needed to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients. ACLS and PALS are required within one year of employment and must thereafter be renewed within two months of their recommended renewal dates.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Knowledge and ability to perform skills necessary for unit-specific competencies.
Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Current CPR certification.
Obtain ACLS and PALS within one year of employment and renew within two months of each recommended renewal date.
Knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients.

Nice To Haves

TNCC and ENPC.
CEN certification.
One year of ED experience.
