About The Position

MercyOne is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Davenport and Bettendorf Emergency Departments. The role provides emergency nursing care, including patient assessment, care planning, interventions, evaluation, communication, and coordination. The nurse prepares patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, or transfer to higher levels of care, manages multiple patients, and provides age-appropriate and culturally sensitive care while maintaining safety, professional standards, and regulatory compliance. The position is full-time, on a 12-hour night shift from 1900 to 0730, for 36 hours per week across three shifts. Colleagues work every second or third weekend by choice and participate in a holiday rotation.

Requirements

Associate degree in nursing.
Current Iowa RN license; Illinois RN license required within one year.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.
Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three months of hire.
High language ability, intermediate-to-high math ability, and high critical-thinking ability.
Basic computer skills.
