ER RN-Emergency Room Registered Nurse
About The Position
MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This role provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions. The Emergency Room (ED) RN manages a diverse patient population across all age groups and conditions, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and behavioral health emergencies. This position also supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Assistants, Emergency Room Techs, and other ED team members, and facilitates communication with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. The ideal candidate will utilize evidence-based practice and critical thinking to assess, triage, plan, implement, and evaluate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing required.
- Current Iowa RN license, (current Illinois (IL) license if working in IL) required.
- Possession of a current or compact state licensure as a registered nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing(BSN) preferred.
