Remote Overnight Emergency Radiologist - Southwest Medical Imaging
About The Position
Southwest Medical Imaging (SMIL) is seeking a full-time overnight radiologist to join its 18-member emergency radiology section, which includes six dedicated FTEs for overnight coverage. This is a 100% remote position on a 7-on/14-off schedule, working 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Arizona time. The role offers the opportunity to moonlight during off weeks, including for outpatient and inpatient exams. The radiologist will interpret general emergency, urgent care, and inpatient imaging for the HonorHealth network, which includes six hospitals, three of them Level 1 trauma centers. The varied case mix includes CT, X-ray, and ultrasound across multiple modalities. MRI, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine are not required unless desired. Staggered shifts ensure multiple radiologists are working at all times. The practice provides a locally managed, AI-enabled IT platform with 24/7 IT support and a dedicated communications team, including Radiologist Support Coordinators. PowerScribe, InteleRad, and Epic support workflow across reporting, imaging, and clinical systems. Compensation includes a base salary, productivity bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. A partnership track is preferred, with additional shareholder opportunities at the physician-owned SMIL Outpatient Imaging Centers.
Requirements
- Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
