Day Cardiothoracic Radiologist - Southwest Medical Imaging
About The Position
Southwest Medical Imaging (SMIL), a physician-owned, subspecialty radiology practice in Scottsdale, Arizona, is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Cardiothoracic Radiologist to join its established, growing practice. The role offers a partnership track and a diverse case mix, including cardiac MRI, CCTA, coronary calcium scoring, CT and MRI of the chest, chest radiography, chest ultrasound, and body imaging support. Nuclear cardiac studies are optional. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Arizona time. The practice provides resources including 24/7 IT support, Radiologist Support Coordinators, and AI tools such as RecoMD, Aidoc, and RadAI. Compensation includes a base salary with productivity bonuses, and the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and a commencement bonus. The practice offers a comprehensive benefits package and diversified revenue from inpatient and outpatient sources. SMIL has served the Valley and surrounding communities for over 40 years and operates physician-owned outpatient imaging centers. Its radiologists are fellowship-trained and the practice is based in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area. The position is hybrid, based in Scottsdale.
Requirements
- Fellowship-trained in Cardiac, Cardiothoracic, or Cardiovascular Imaging, or have Level 3 experience in Cardiac Imaging.
- Licensed or able to obtain an Arizona medical license.
- Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
Nice To Haves
- Nuclear cardiac studies experience or interest; these studies are optional.
Responsibilities
- Interpret a diverse range of cardiothoracic imaging studies, including cardiac MRI, CCTA, coronary calcium scoring, CT chest, MRI chest, chest radiographs, and chest ultrasound.
- Provide body imaging support.
- Interpret nuclear cardiac studies if desired.
