About The Position

Southwest Medical Imaging (SMIL) is seeking a full-time overnight Neuroradiologist to join its 18-member emergency radiology section, which includes six full-time-equivalent overnight radiologists. This is a 100% remote position on a 7-on/14-off schedule, working 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Arizona time. The schedule offers the opportunity to moonlight during off weeks. Fellows and residents are welcome to apply. The role interprets emergency, urgent care, and inpatient imaging for HonorHealth across six hospitals, including three Level 1 trauma centers. The varied caseload includes studies from multiple modalities, specifically CT, X-ray, and ultrasound. MRI, interventional radiology, and nuclear medicine are not part of the role unless the radiologist desires to perform them. Staggered shifts ensure multiple radiologists are working at all times. The practice provides a locally managed, AI-enabled IT platform, 24/7 IT support, and a dedicated communications team. PowerScribe, InteleRad, and Epic support reporting, imaging, and clinical workflows. Compensation includes a base salary, productivity bonuses, and an annual discretionary bonus. A partnership track is preferred, with an additional shareholder opportunity in physician-owned SMIL outpatient imaging centers. SMIL is a highly subspecialized radiology practice based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with more than 70 radiologists. It owns and operates nearly 20 outpatient imaging centers in the Valley and serves a network of six hospitals.
