About The Position

LewisGale Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Emergency Patient Care Technician to support Registered Nurses as part of a collaborative nursing team. The technician provides hands-on, non-medicated patient care and helps maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role includes assisting with patients’ daily needs, monitoring support, and care-plan activities, while helping promote comfort, dignity, recovery, and quality of care.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to support safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care and help monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans.
