About The Position

The Emergency Multi-Care Tech provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. The role obtains information about patient condition as requested by nursing staff and reports changes in patient condition. This position is in the 8E Observation unit at CoxHealth South and is scheduled for 36 hours per week, with a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Within the past 3 years, experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting; or work as an EMT, CNA, or Surgical Technologist; or completion of an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program; or completion of a fundamentals of nursing course with clinical in an accredited professional or practical nursing program; or completion of 90 days in the Apprenticeship position.

• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.
