About The Position
WVUHS System Medical Group is seeking a physician to join our community emergency medicine practice at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. This position offers competitive private practice compensation while providing the mission, vision, values, and connections of an academic health system. Grant Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital founded in 1958, serving a multi-county area with a wide range of healthcare services, including a 24/7 Emergency Department, Surgical Care Clinic, Orthopedic Clinic, Cancer Center, Primary Care Clinic, and the region's only Birthing Center. Petersburg is a picturesque community in the Potomac Highlands, known for its trout fishing and hiking.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree.
- Eligible to obtain an unrestricted state medical license in West Virginia.
- Completed an accredited residency program.
- Board-certified or board-eligible via a recognized board within the American Board of Medical Specialties.
- Emergency Medicine Board Certification required.
Responsibilities
- Practice emergency medicine with the right people for the right reasons.
- Serve patients at Grant Memorial Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital.
- Provide care in a 24/7, 13-bed Emergency Department.
