About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for an Emergency Medicine Physician at a Community Hospital in Marion, VA. The role involves providing clinical coverage for adults and pediatrics, managing emergency department patients, handling codes and rapid response events, and maintaining accurate documentation in Epic. The position requires overnight coverage with 12-hour night shifts.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted VA medical license required
• Board Certified in EM, FM, or IM
• Active DEA with VA address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5
• ACLS required
• ATLS and PALS required if not EM-trained
• NRP required for non-ABEM providers
• Completion of approved EM, FM, or IM residency program
• Case logs from the past 2 years required
• ECFMG required for foreign medical graduates
• Current immunizations and TB screening required
• Preeclampsia CME required for initial application and reappointments

• New EM residency graduates may be considered with 3-month proctorship
