About The Position

Join our PRN team in Eastern Alabama with this low volume emergency medicine opportunity. Clay County is a small Free Standing ER serving the town and community of Ashland, Alabama. The position is ideally suited for a family physician with emergency experience. There is opportunity for both weekday and weekend 24-hour shifts. Daily ER volume is about 15 patients per day. Ashland, Alabama has quaint, small-town charm appeal in large quantities. Downtown includes several restaurants, an arts center and a bookstore. Other key features include: Located near Lake Harris and the Talladega National Forest. Abundant outdoor hiking and trails. Farm and land ownership opportunities are plentiful. Birmingham and Atlanta are both a short drive away.

Requirements

• Emergency Medicine experience required.
• Active Alabama Physician license.
• Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care in a low volume Free Standing ER.
• Work weekday and weekend 24-hour shifts.
• Collaborate with quality nursing staff.
• Utilize 24/7 Lab and Radiology services.
• Participate in the Alabama Trauma Network.
