About The Position

Vituity is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians to join its practice at St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois. Vituity is a 100% physician-owned partnership led by frontline physician owners. St. Mary’s is a 169-bed community hospital with a 22-bed Emergency Department and an annual emergency department volume of 28,000 patients, averaging 76 patients per day. The hospital is a Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Receiving Center, and Primary Stroke Center, with an interventional cardiology cath lab, an on-site inpatient behavioral health unit, and a Labor and Delivery Unit across from the ED. Scribe support is available, and Vituity-staffed critical care physicians provide integrated care solutions at the site. The position offers an estimated annual base compensation of $275,000–$900,000, depending on site, specialty, clinical volume, schedule, and experience. Compensation for part-time and per-diem roles is prorated based on clinical hours worked. Physicians participate in Vituity’s partnership model from day one, including profit distributions, equity ownership, and K-1 tax advantages; total compensation including partnership income varies by site and may exceed the stated range. Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus of up to $100,000. Kankakee is a community along the Kankakee River with outdoor recreation, cultural and architectural landmarks, seasonal activities, and access to Chicago approximately an hour away.
