Emergency Medicine NP/PA
About The Position
This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated NP / PA to join an employed PRN position within a busy, well-respected Emergency Department, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network. The role involves providing timely, high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages, evaluating, diagnosing and managing acute illness and injuries, stabilizing patients and coordinating transfers where higher levels of care are required, performing emergency procedures as clinically indicated, and maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation. The facility is a 5-bed hospital Emergency Department serving a population of approximately 55,000, with an integrated referral network and is part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
