About The Position
This is a locum tenens opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Hancock, MI. The role involves providing clinical care in an outpatient/inpatient setting, covering shifts from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, 7 days a week. The average daily patient volume is 36, with approximately 3 admissions per shift. The position requires the ability to treat patients of all ages and proficiency with the MediTech EMR system. Specialty backup from ED Physicians and ED RNs is available.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible required
- Licensed in MI
- BLS certification
- Ability to treat patients of all ages required
- Proficiency with MediTech EMR
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency department care to patients of all ages during scheduled shifts
- Perform initial assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries
- Manage patient admissions averaging 3 per shift
- Collaborate with ED physicians and nursing staff
- Document encounters accurately in the MediTech EMR
