Emergency Medicine-NP/PA
About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position in Emergency Medicine for an NP/PA at an Inpatient facility in Portage, WI. The role is for supplemental coverage and requires filling shifts from July 6th onwards. The position is clinical only, with shifts scheduled from 9a-9p and 11a-11p, typically 8-12 shifts per month. The patient volume is estimated at 20 patients per shift, with a potential of 40-60 patients in a 24-hour period in an ED/UC setting. The department has 13 beds and is supported by 4 RNs, 1 MA, 2 APPs, and 1 Office Staff. The practice includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, L&D, and a collaborative Hospitalist team. The facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and utilizes Telestroke & Tele ICU services, with a UW helicopter on site. Temporary privileges are available.
Requirements
- Active WI License or IMLC
- BC (Board Certified)
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage in an Emergency Medicine setting.
- Manage patient care in an ED/UC setting.
- Collaborate with support staff including RNs, MAs, other APPs, and Office Staff.
- Work with General Surgery, Orthopedics, L&D physicians, and the Hospitalist team.
