About The Position
The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a dynamic, board-certified/board-eligible Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join its collegial team at UT Health North Campus Tyler. This faculty position is employed by the University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine and involves practice within UT Health East Texas facilities. UT Health North Campus Tyler is a 174-bed facility with a Level IV Trauma Center, handling approximately 11,000 ED visits annually. The role is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position with 12 shifts per month, each lasting 12 hours. The coverage model is single provider, with 14 EM beds, 10 regular medical beds, and 4 behavioral health beds. The electronic medical record system used is Epic.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine.
- Physician licensed in Texas.
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide faculty-level medical care in the Emergency Department.
- Teach and mentor medical students and residents.
- Participate in the collegial team environment.
- Practice within UT Health East Texas facilities.
