About The Position

UT Tyler School of Medicine and UT Health East Texas are recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon for a full-time faculty orthopedic surgery position in Tyler, TX. This academic orthopedic surgeon job offers high-volume clinical practice, teaching, and mentorship within the first medical school in East Texas. Physicians practice in a large regional referral system with access to a Level I Trauma Center. The position includes working in two new state-of-the-art orthopedic clinics, joining a group of 17 physicians and 13 APPs. The facility is equipped with advanced technology including MAKO robotic technology, da Vinci Xi surgical system, a 3T MRI, and CT. The case mix is 90% outpatient orthopedic surgery and 10% inpatient. The schedule is Monday-Thursday 8 AM-5 PM and Friday 8 AM-12 PM, with 4 hours/week of protected administrative time. Call averages 3 days per month. Subspecialties encouraged include General Orthopedics and Joint Replacement.
