About The Position
Seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon for a Locum Tenens position in Clinton, NC. This inpatient role involves call-only coverage from June 26 to July 1, 2026. The surgeon will be responsible for handling ED visits, admissions, phone consults, and performing surgeries as needed. The call schedule is 7a-7a with a 20-minute response time for beeper calls. Procedures may include arthroscopy, total joint replacement, joint revision or repair, hand, tendon release/repair, peripheral nerve surgery, spinal procedures (with and without instrumentation), percutaneous disc surgery, and long bone trauma.
Requirements
- Active NC License
- Board Certified (BC)
- DEA
- BLS, ABLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS certifications
- Medicaid/Medicare credentialled
- Enrolled with PECOS
Responsibilities
- Provide call-only coverage for orthopedic surgery services.
- Manage 0-2 ED visits and admissions per day.
- Handle 0-3 phone consults.
- Perform 0-2 surgeries per day.
- Perform procedures such as Arthroscopy, Total Joint replacement, Joint revision or repair, Hand, Tendon Release/Repair, Peripheral Nerve Surgery, Spinal procedures (with and without instrumentation), Percutaneous disc surgery, and Long Bone Trauma.
