This role involves educating the next generation of physicians while providing exceptional patient care. The physician will be a foundational member of the inaugural residency program team, with the opportunity to build the program from the ground up, develop curriculum, and mentor residents. The position is a dual role, serving as both an Educator and Mentor, and a Clinical Practitioner within the Baylor St. Luke's Medical Group in Lufkin. Responsibilities include program building, resident supervision and teaching, clinical excellence, curriculum development, scholarly activity, mentorship, and accreditation support. Lufkin, Texas, offers a blend of community charm and growth potential, with an affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine providing academic resources. The role offers a flexible 4.5-day work week, an integrated practice with a patient panel of approximately 18-22 patients per day, and comprehensive family medicine experience is a plus. The position is affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine.
