About The Position

Seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician with at least two years of clinical experience treating patients of all ages and a commitment to academic and patient-centered excellence. Geisinger Primary Care South Wilkes-Barre is the home of the Kistler Family Medicine Residency program, a three-year dedicated family medicine residency clinic. This role is for individuals passionate about teaching, community care, and shaping the future of family medicine.

Requirements

• At least two years of clinical experience treating patients of all ages
• American Boards of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Boards of Family Medicine (AOBFM) board certified
• Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania
• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience (residents and/or students) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach, mentor, and inspire family medicine residents
• Provide full-spectrum care in a supportive, innovative environment
• Collaborate on curriculum development and program leadership
• Participate in resident recruitment, didactic instruction, and simulation training
• Engage in program administration and continuous improvement

Benefits

• Compensation base begins at $330k
• Up to $250k recruitment incentives
• Continuing medical education – 15 working days and $4,500 CME funds
