Emergency Medical Technician ( EMT ) - FT - 9pm -9am Shifts - Waterbury
About The Position
Saint Mary's Hospital's Waterbury EMS site is seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians to provide quality care to local communities. The role performs tasks necessary for effective and efficient patient care in pre-hospital settings and/or during intra-facility transfers. EMTs interact professionally with patients, families, hospital staff, the public, and other public safety agencies, providing exemplary care and customer service. They safely operate and assist with maintaining company-owned vehicles and replenish medical equipment and supplies as needed. The position is full-time, working 12-hour night shifts from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m., with rotating weekends and holidays. The stated pay range is $21.35–$32.05 per hour; pay is based on experience, skills, and education and may vary by location.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain continuing education as required by applicable local Medical Control Authorities and the state's Department of Consumer & Industry Services.
- Licensed as an Emergency Medical Responder or EMT-B.
- Current AHA CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license in good standing in Connecticut and eligibility for driving privileges under current company policies and procedures.
- Ability to think and act calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
