About The Position

Saint Mary's Hospital EMS is hiring a full-time Emergency Medical Technician in Waterbury, Connecticut. The EMT assesses patients’ injuries or illnesses at the scene and establishes treatment consistent with state licensure and protocols. The role includes communicating pertinent information to medical personnel directly involved in patient care, transporting sick or injured patients to or between appropriate medical facilities and residences, and responding to service requests according to dispatcher direction and priority. EMTs may float to other EMS coverage areas as needed. The position works rotating shifts, with hours listed as 11 a.m.–11 p.m., rotating weeks of 36 or 48 hours, and alternating weekends and holidays. Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Completion of an accredited EMT program.
• Current Connecticut EMT license in good standing.
• AHA CPR certification in good standing.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
