Full-Time EMT Basic
About The Position
AMR is hiring full-time Emergency Medical Technicians in Decatur, Illinois. EMTs respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. The role offers a 24/48 schedule and pays $17.50–$18.03 per hour, depending on relevant experience. AMR is part of Global Medical Response (GMR), whose teams provide compassionate, quality medical care primarily through emergency and patient relocation services. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- State EMT license.
- State driver’s license.
- BLS and NREMT.
- Driving record compliant with company policy.
- Pass a Physical Agility Test.
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities
- Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
- Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
- Use appropriate EMT skills, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
- Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws for emergency medical response vehicles.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
- Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
