About The Position

This position is contingent upon contract award and is located in the National Capital Region. The role requires a Public Trust clearance. The Emergency Management Subject Matter Expert 2 will be responsible for providing evaluation, consultation, guidance, or direction in specialized areas of expertise. This includes consulting with project teams, customers, and government officials on processes, content, and deliverables. The role involves contributing content, identifying best practices, and translating subject matter terminology. Recommendations will be provided both verbally and in writing. While the position typically requires minimal supervision, it may involve oversight of research projects, educational activities, staff performance evaluations, and liaison activities with government agencies and partner organizations.

Requirements

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a related discipline
• A bachelor's degree or an additional four years of experience
• Demonstrated ability to work independently or under general direction
• Good written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Providing evaluation, consultation, guidance or direction in a specialized area(s) of expertise
• Consulting with project team, customers, and government officials regarding process, content and/or deliverables as required
• Contributing content, identifying best practices, and knowledge of subject matter, translating subject matter terminology as appropriate
• Providing recommendations verbally and in writing
• Working with a minimum of supervision but may function in an oversight capacity for research projects, educational activities, evaluations of staff performance, and liaison activities with government agency and other partner organizations
