About The Position
Saint Clare's Health is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to join its team. The Nurse Aid in the Emergency Department is an unlicensed, non-certified assistive person who works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The role assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and helps maintain a safe environment. The position is full time, with varied shifts, including evenings, and requires work every other weekend.
Requirements
- Current BLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
- At least six months of previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
