About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician/EMT to join our highly committed and dynamic Emergency Services team as we provide excellent quality care to over 68,000 patients of all ages annually. As an Emergency Department Technician/EMT, you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving them in a safe environment promoting long-term recovery. In this department, Emergency Department Technicians are expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while helping deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team of Providers, RNs, Paramedics, Emergency Department Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and Social Workers. Emergency Services, a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center, is a high-energy, patient-centered environment consisting of 45 total patient exam rooms including ten Urgent Care rooms, five resuscitation/trauma/critical care rooms, and three dedicated Behavioral Health rooms that serve every patient population from infancy to the elderly. Patients have 24-hour access to laboratory, X-ray, and surgical services. We are also a Stroke Center with 24/7 neuro-interventional capabilities and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 interventional cardiac catheterization lab capabilities. Emergency Services, a 2023 Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award recipient, is recognized and acknowledged for excellence throughout the department through metrics and patient experience that is difficult to find anywhere else in the nation.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is strongly preferred
