About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician/EMT to join their Emergency Services team. This role involves providing excellent quality care to patients of all ages in a safe environment, promoting long-term recovery. The technician will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a high-energy, patient-centered environment that serves all patient populations. The department is a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center, a Stroke Center with 24/7 neuro-interventional capabilities, and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 interventional cardiac catheterization lab capabilities. The department is recognized for excellence through metrics and patient experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Nice To Haves

• Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Play a direct role in saving the lives of patients each day by serving them in a safe environment promoting long-term recovery.
• Deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team of Providers, RNs, Paramedics, Emergency Department Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and Social Workers.
