About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician/EMT to join their highly committed and dynamic Emergency Services team. This role involves providing excellent quality care to patients of all ages. The Emergency Department Technician/EMT plays a direct role in saving lives by serving patients in a safe environment and promoting long-term recovery. They are expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while delivering patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The Emergency Services department is a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center, a high-energy, patient-centered environment with 45 patient exam rooms, including urgent care, resuscitation/trauma/critical care rooms, and behavioral health rooms. The department serves all patient populations and offers 24-hour access to laboratory, X-ray, and surgical services. It is also a Stroke Center with 24/7 neuro-interventional capabilities and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 interventional cardiac catheterization lab capabilities. The department is recognized for excellence, as evidenced by its 2023 Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency
National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Serve patients in a safe environment promoting long-term recovery.
Deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team of Providers, RNs, Paramedics, Emergency Department Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and Social Workers.
