About The Position

The consultant will support a finance ERP modernization project at High Point University, validating financial data converted from legacy Ellucian Colleague to Oracle. The engagement is expected to last nine months, with possible conversion. The first two weeks are fully onsite in High Point, North Carolina; afterward, support will be mostly remote, with onsite visits around project milestones. The role is scheduled for 30–40 hours per week and is offered at $70–$85 per hour on W-2.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Ellucian Colleague Finance in a higher education environment.
• Hands-on ERP implementation, integration, or data migration experience.
• Experience performing data conversion validation, source-to-target mapping reviews, and reconciliation.
• Ability to investigate data discrepancies, identify root causes, and support issue resolution.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with legacy Colleague/UniData environments.
• Experience with Oracle ERP implementations or migrations from Ellucian Colleague to Oracle.
• Experience supporting higher education finance departments through ERP modernization.
• Experience working with third-party ERP implementation partners.
• Familiarity with financial data conversion testing, reconciliation methodologies, and migration issue tracking.

Responsibilities

• Review project status, conversion activities, migration results, and outstanding issues.
• Work with university finance stakeholders to understand legacy business processes and data structures.
• Identify relevant Colleague screens, fields, records, and underlying data needed for conversion validation.
• Validate converted financial data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Compare Oracle data against legacy Colleague records and validate source-to-target mappings.
• Perform financial data reconciliations between legacy and future-state systems.
• Investigate conversion discrepancies, document findings, and coordinate resolution with High Point and DriveStream.
• Retest corrected data and track validation issues through resolution.
• Collaborate with functional leads and implementation partners to maintain visibility into project risks, decisions, and outstanding activities.
