About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Elite Security Officer for part-time overnight work at an assigned technology and communications location in Bastrop, Texas. The role pays $30.00 per hour and has fixed weekly anchor shifts on Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and schedule. The officer may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the option to increase hours up to 40 per week or scale back when needed.

The officer provides customer service while following security procedures and site-specific policies, responds to incidents and alarms, conducts armed patrols, monitors access to restricted areas, and completes required reports and shift documentation. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug-screen processes and participation in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Guard, or a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, vendor, and incident activity.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and site requirements.
• Complete required reports and shift documentation.
