About The Position

Anticipated Elementary Behavior Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a 10-month position. The candidate must possess professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with school personnel and behaviorally challenged students. The role requires the ability to present complex information on behavior, behavior assessment, and the implementation of behavior plans to staff. Essential skills include the ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, manage various student cases and assignments, and work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Effective oral and written communication skills are also necessary.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in behavioral sciences, psychology, special education or related field
  • Strong background and demonstrated success in behavior observation, assessment, and the implementation of behavior plans in classroom settings
  • Ability to present complex information on behavior, behavior assessment, and the implementation of behavior plans to staff
  • Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, manage various student cases and assignments
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
