About The Position

The Principal serves as chief administrator and educational leader for the school and is responsible for managing the policies, standards and procedures of the district and state and implements an educational vision to support continuous improvement in teaching and educational outcomes for students. The Principal works collaboratively with all members of the school staff to establish safe, positive environments, conducive to learning and communicates effectively with parents and members of the community. The Nashua School District is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic educational leader. Requirements

  • Hold NH Principal certification or eligibility.
  • Five years of classroom teaching experience.
  • Additional successful school administrative experience in education.
  • Firm grasp of the curriculum, and principles and practices of elementary schools.
  • Interpersonal and instructional leadership skills necessary to promote increased student achievement through a commitment to continuous improvement, educational innovation, and student-centered learning environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Use of technology.
  • Desire to maintain high visibility with active involvement in the school community.
  • Ability to plan effectively.
  • Clear commitment to meeting the needs of all students.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the policies, standards and procedures of the district and state.
  • Implement an educational vision to support continuous improvement in teaching and educational outcomes for students.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the school staff to establish safe, positive environments, conducive to learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and members of the community.
  • Plan and manage daily school operations.
  • Provide instructional leadership.
  • Foster team collaboration, differentiated instruction and positive school-community relationships.
  • Effectively develop, supervise and evaluate faculty and staff.
