About The Position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Electrician for a project in Greenville, North Carolina. The role performs electrical installation work in manufacturing and industrial settings. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months. Significant travel may be required, and regular attendance is required.
Requirements
- Skilled written and verbal communication.
- Complete all safety and general job training required by SIC.
- Follow SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
- Effectively use all required personal protective equipment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to safely access properties, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
- Able to meet strenuous physical demands, including standing for long periods, bending consistently, and working in confined spaces, on ladders, in personnel lifts and workboats, and in awkward positions.
- Able to safely operate all equipment and tools involved in the work.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow blueprints, sketches, building plans, directions, and installation plans.
- Prepare layouts using tools such as voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.
- Terminate panels using LOTO.
- Plan installation sequences to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other construction activities.
- Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend different types of conduit.
- Work with motor controls and metering.
- Size branch-circuit overcurrent protection devices and calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits.
- Apply accuracy standards and evaluate measured information, including differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Work overhead, beneath structures, and from other positions required by site conditions.
- Make decisions using measurable criteria and visualize three-dimensional objects from plans and drawings.
- Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
- Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
- Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as required.
- Complete required safety and general job training and follow SIC and customer safety and quality procedures.
