About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Electrician for our Operation Facilities Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
3-5 years commercial or hospital electrical experience
MD, VA or DC Journeyman Electrical Licensure required (Master Preferred)
Valid Driver’s license
Position requires commercial electrical knowledge as a minimum.
Position will also need familiarity with HVAC systems and low voltage wiring.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned work order service requests and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and buildings with required documentation of maintenance activity within the CMMS
Maintain and install wiring, control, and lighting systems
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools, as needed
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools
install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarms and other systems
Read blueprints, technical diagrams, and identifies electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
Work with outside vendors and the AHJ, etc., on all electrical related activities
Other Duties as assigned
