About The Position

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled Electrician to perform electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work in a non-driving capacity. The role focuses on on-site electrical tasks within a designated work area. Primoris Renewable Energy, a business within Primoris Services Corporation’s Energy segment, provides engineering, procurement, and construction services for utility- and commercial-scale solar power, energy storage, solar repower, and operations and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent vocational training.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a qualified electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, including NEC and local codes, and of safety standards and practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and regularly lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including heat, cold, and confined spaces.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• Journeyman Electrician license, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, conduits, fixtures, and control equipment according to blueprints, schematics, and local electrical codes.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions using testing devices.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and needs for adjustment or repair.
• Ensure electrical work complies with safety standards, company policies, and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Safely and proficiently operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment.
