The Technical Trainer develops and delivers comprehensive training programs on electrical construction practices, helping company employees and apprentices gain the skills and knowledge to work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role works with project managers, field supervisors, the Safety Team, and other stakeholders to promote safety, excellence, and professional growth. The trainer designs and implements curricula covering commercial and industrial electrical construction, including system installation, maintenance and troubleshooting; construction methods; cable pulling, rigging and power distribution; switchgear; electrical safety across voltage levels; and compliance with OSHA, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and other industry standards. Training is delivered in classrooms and hands-on settings at company facilities or job sites. The role also provides ongoing mentorship, maintains training records and certifications, evaluates learning outcomes, and coordinates with third-party vendors, NECA, IBEW, and other industry partners. The position includes regular field engagement to identify skill gaps and training needs, reinforce safety practices, promote effective tools and methods, and contribute subject-matter expertise to safety meetings, inspections, and audits. The trainer also mentors employees, partners with Human Resources on workforce development, and keeps training materials current with electrical technology, regulations, and industry practices. Travel to job sites is required as needed, and the schedule must be flexible to accommodate training needs.
