About The Position

The Safety Trainer trains new and existing employees at all levels in safety compliance programs. The role performs compliance audits, including hazard identification and checks of fire extinguishers and eyewash stations, and participates in emergency evacuation drills. The Safety Trainer works with the training department to ensure training requirements are met, logs and tracks compliance training, assists with continuous improvement initiatives, and conducts contractor orientation. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Safety-minded approach.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing atmosphere.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to work Saturdays when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of or experience working in the meat or food processing industry.
• Experience with heavy industrial machinery.
• Bilingual ability.
