About The Position

The Safety Trainer trains new and existing employees at all levels in safety compliance programs. The role performs compliance audits, participates in emergency evacuation drills, coordinates with the training department to ensure training requirements are met, and logs and tracks compliance training. The Safety Trainer also conducts contractor orientation and assists with continuous improvement initiatives. Other duties may be assigned.

The position is located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, reports to the Safety Manager, and has a starting pay of $25.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Safety-minded.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing atmosphere.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to work Saturdays when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of or experience working in the meat or food processing industry.
• Experience with heavy industrial machinery.
• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Train new and existing employees at all levels in safety compliance programs.
• Perform compliance audits, including hazard identification and inspections of fire extinguishers and eyewash stations.
• Participate in emergency evacuation drills.
• Work closely with the training department to ensure proper training requirements are met.
• Log and track all compliance training.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct contractor orientation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
