About The Position

InCharge Energy is seeking an Electrical Sales Representative to grow its commercial and industrial electrical solutions business in the Richmond, Virginia market and along the East Coast. As part of the Sales team, the representative develops new business, manages customer relationships, and drives revenue through sales of electrical infrastructure, power, and energy solutions. The role works directly with customers, estimators, engineers, and operations teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and support profitable growth. The successful candidate brings business-to-business sales experience in electrical products, electrical contracting, or related technical solutions; understands commercial and industrial electrical systems; and is effective in consultative sales and long-term relationship building. The position works across field, customer-site, and office environments and is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Travel of 50% or more may be required based on customer and business needs.

Requirements

At least 5 years of business-to-business sales experience in electrical products, electrical contracting services, power systems, energy solutions, or related technical industries.
Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems, equipment, and industry standards.
Experience collaborating with estimators, engineers, and field operations teams to develop project scopes and customer proposals.
Experience building relationships with commercial and industrial customers, facility managers, property managers, electrical contractors, or similar stakeholders.
Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM to manage opportunities, customer relationships, forecasts, and sales activities.
Strong prospecting, communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and closing skills.
Self-motivated, organized, customer-focused, collaborative, and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Ability to visit customer facilities, construction sites, and industrial environments and safely navigate active job sites as needed.
Ability to travel 50% or more based on customer and business needs.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit and use standard office equipment for extended periods, with occasional lifting and carrying of materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
Electrical technician certification, trade training, or other relevant industry certifications.
Experience selling electrical panels, generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar solutions, lighting retrofits, or electrical installation and maintenance services.

Responsibilities

Develop new business through prospecting, customer visits, referrals, networking, and industry outreach, building and maintaining a qualified sales pipeline.
Identify customer needs through discovery meetings and site assessments, uncovering opportunities for electrical infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, installations, and maintenance services.
Present electrical, power, and energy solutions consultatively, communicating technical capabilities, project benefits, pricing, and value propositions.
Prepare proposals with estimating, engineering, and operations teams by defining project scope, pricing, and delivery requirements.
Negotiate contracts and pricing while maintaining profitability targets and following company approval guidelines.
Build and expand relationships with facility managers, property managers, contractors, procurement professionals, and other decision-makers to generate repeat business and cross-selling opportunities.
Maintain current and actionable opportunity details, customer communications, next steps, and forecasts in Salesforce.
Coordinate project handoffs by documenting customer commitments, project requirements, and delivery expectations for internal teams.
Achieve sales goals while maintaining pricing discipline and supporting business growth objectives.
Monitor market trends and represent InCharge Energy at trade shows, customer events, and industry conferences.
