About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is hiring an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for its 101 Kindig Lane facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This critical, full-time role supports automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment, focusing on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. The required schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A sign-on and retention bonus are offered.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including electrical and mechanical work.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Skill diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in food manufacturing or packaging.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment.
• Work with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
• Install, wire, and maintain electrical components such as relays, motors, and panels.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain reliable operations.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Independently install conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support system upgrades and expansions.
