About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is hiring an Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for its High Street facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This hands-on, full-time weekday-shift role focuses on maintaining automated conveyor lines and high-speed packaging equipment through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The listed schedules are Monday to Thursday, 5:55 a.m.–5:55 p.m., or Tuesday to Friday, 5:55 a.m.–5:55 p.m. The position offers a sign-on and retention bonus. Requirements

At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in electrical and mechanical work.
Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
Skill diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet.
Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.

Experience in food manufacturing or packaging.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material-handling equipment.
Work with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
Install, wire, and maintain electrical components, including relays, motors, and panels.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain equipment operation.
Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
Independently install conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support system upgrades and expansions.
