About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is hiring an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician for its manufacturing team in Goodyear, Arizona. The technician works independently to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with some Saturdays as needed.

The role supports equipment reliability through troubleshooting and repairs, preventive maintenance, installations, and minor electrical work. The technician is also responsible for quality and food safety tasks associated with the position. The job requires the ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work at excessive heights, and requires non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• Knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, and electronic applications acquired through at least 2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to work at excessive heights.
• Must wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, including motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, and programmable logic controllers.
• Repair facility equipment such as lift trucks, pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, and HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment.
• Prepare, coordinate, and implement preventive maintenance.
• Complete installation and repair work from schematics and drawings.
• Perform minor electrical installations.
• Carry out quality and food safety tasks for the position.
