About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is seeking Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technicians for its High Street facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This hands-on, full-time weekday-shift role focuses on maintaining automated conveyor lines and high-speed packaging equipment through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The listed schedules are Monday through Thursday, 5:55 a.m. to 5:55 p.m., or Tuesday through Friday, 5:55 a.m. to 5:55 p.m. A sign-on and retention bonus is offered. Requirements

At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
Skill diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet.
Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material handling equipment.
Work with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
Install, wire, and maintain electrical components such as relays, motors, and panels.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep equipment running smoothly.
Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
Independently install conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support system upgrades and expansions.
