About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is hiring an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician for its 101 Kindig Lane facility in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This full-time role supports automated conveyor systems and high-speed packaging equipment, with a focus on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance. The required schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A sign-on and retention bonus are offered. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance.
Experience with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Ability to diagnose issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet.
Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail.

Experience in food manufacturing or packaging.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair advanced conveyor belt systems and automated material-handling equipment.
Work with PLC systems, motor controls, DC/AC drives, and sensor-based automation.
Install, wire, and maintain electrical components such as relays, motors, and panels.
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and keep equipment operating smoothly.
Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
Independently install conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support system upgrades and expansions.
